Retragerea de la Convenția de la Istanbul înseamnă inversarea promisiunii făcute pentru combaterea violenței împotriva femeilor pe arena internațională, precum și nerecunoașterea obligațiilor statului în combaterea violenței și condamnarea femeilor la violență.
